1. Measure Your Hand Size
Measure from the tip of your middle finger down to the first crease at the base of your wrist (length), and across your palm including the thumb (width). Format: Length x Width in cm (e.g. 19x10cm).
2. Identify Your Grip Style
- Palm Grip: Full contact with the mouse palm and fingers. Requires ergonomic or larger symmetrical mice with supportive rear humps.
- Claw Grip: Palm rests on the back hump with arched fingers on the main clicks. Great with medium-sized mice featuring defined rear humps.
- Fingertip Grip: Only fingertips contact the mouse; palm is completely elevated. Best suited for ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight shapes.
3. Weight & Center of Balance
Lighter mice (<50g) make micro-adjustments effortless and reduce wrist strain in fast-paced games, provided the balance point is centered under your primary grip fingers.
4. Switch & Sensor Selection
Modern optical switches (e.g., Omron optical, RAESHA) prevent debounce delay and debounce-related double clicking. Modern sensors (PAW3395, PAW3950) provide flawless tracking on both cloth and glass pads.
