PMM Cyber 4.1

Introduction:

To start some information on myself and why I bought this mouse to begin with. I was playing a lot of Marvel Rivals at the time of purchase and playing tracking heavy characters. So I have been looking for a lightweight fingertip mouse that didn’t lock my fingers into placing them in certain points of the mouse (*cough* Zeromouse).

I purchased the DIY mod kit for the Sora v2. And used a mouse I already had that I accidentally cracked the shell of. I got the version with side buttons and no ultragrip coating.

I have been using this mouse since June 2025 on and off depending on games I have been playing.

In the Box:

2 screwdrivers
Little “spudger”
Black battery wrapper (to make it look nice)
Grease for the scroll wheel
2 carbon fiber rods

Weight:

The weight of this mouse is crazy light like other ftip mice, my unit coming in at 22g. Without the side buttons and battery (can be used wired) the mouse can be as light as 17g. This is incredibly light, a similar weight to small ftip mice from companies like G-Wolves that are built from the PCB to shell to be as light as possible.

Shape:

The shape is very unique and boxy. It tapers slightly towards the front and has very minimal button slope. I find this shape extremely comfortable for long periods of time, more comfortable than any other ftip shape I have used. There is enough room on the right side of the mouse to place both my ring and pinky fingers comfortably without bunching up.

There are slight comfort grooves on the main buttons and the side buttons are placed in such a way that they are easy to reach but my thumb does not rest on them when playing.

Clicks:

The Sora v2 uses Omron optical switches, and therefore so does the Cyber. These feel very good even with the 3D printed shell.

Build Quality:

The shell on the Cyber has a slight flex when pressed on at the back and any honeycomb patterned area. But when holding the mouse in a normal way there is NO flex at all, all thanks to the carbon rods in the mouse.

Coating:

There is no coating on my unit.

Stock skates:

The skates that were included with my mouse were Esptiger Ice v2. Since I purchased PMM have started including their own PMM Smoothies dots.

My experience with PMM:

This was my first time purchasing from PMM, and my experience with them was *fine*. However, shipping updates were slow and the chosen delivery company was plain awful.

Since then PMM have improved the shipping updates problem for my most recent orders. DHL is still awful though.

The PMM website is beautiful and easy to navigate though, can't be taken for granted.

My experience with building the mouse:

Mod kit comes with most things needed to assemble the mouse.

I found this mod kit very easy to assemble. The build guides from PMM are fantastic and show you with videos exactly what to do.

My only problem was there was no adhesive tape included, but there was meant to be, luckily I had some laying around to secure the battery.

Conclusion:

Can’t recommend this shape enough for someone who is looking for a lightweight fingertip style mouse. Hopefully they release an updated version with support for a new wireless PCB, it being based on the older Sora v2 PCB is a bit unfortunate.
